Losing weeks get all the journaling. Green weeks get a screenshot and a weekend off. That is backward.
Most of the money I have given back did not vanish in a crash. It vanished the week after a good run, when size felt cheap and the checklist felt optional.
The green-week review is short. I do it before I mark the new week.
Five numbers, not a memoir
1. Trades taken
2. Trades that broke a rule (even if they won)
3. Net R
4. Largest winner as a share of the week
5. Open risk still on the book
If item 4 is most of the week, I did not have a good process. I had one lucky line. I treat that week as fragile.
If item 2 is greater than zero, those wins are marked as F-grade in the journaL. They do not earn extra size next week. They earn a warning.
The only adjustment I am allowed to make
I may cut size for the coming week. I may not raise it because I “have cushion.”
A simple cap I like after an outsized week: next week’s risk per trade stays the same or dr
ops. Daily loss cap stays the same. I do not expand either number because last week was kind.
The logic is in the risk guide. Cushion is not a reason to change the unit of risk. Cushion is how you survive a normal drawdown.
Questions that belong on a green week
– Did I take trades that were not on the map?
– Did I hold winners to the plan or to a feeling?
– Did I start explaining my results to imaginary people?
If the third one is yes, I am already setting up the giveback. Attention is a position.
What I do not do with a green week

– Withdraw the lesson and leave the bad habits
– Add a new market because I feel calibrated
– Write a thread about how the method “clicked”
I write the five numbers, mark the new week, and go into Monday as if last week had been flat. Flat is the mood that keeps the rules.
